Rules:
- 2 categories:
1) Realistic photos difficult to tell from the prototype, of any large-scale ride-on railway related or scale models of Australian or New Zealand prototypes. Steam, electric, diesel, tram, rolling stock, road vehicle, building etc. Preferably no humans visible.
2) Photos of people enjoying their hobby.
- Open to anyone, maximum submission of 2 photos per person.
- Submissions accepted until 31 October 2008, or when submissions reach 100 photos, whichever is first.
- Voting opens 15 September 2008 and closes 30 November 2008.
- Prizes:
» $50 voucher from Model Engineering Supplies for winner in 'Realistic' category.
» Gage HM1 single-cylinder steam engine machined kit from Model Components (Aust) for winner in 'People' category.
- Photos must be taken by you, or owned by you and be your property, not copied from elsewhere or previously published, and free of copyright restrictions.
- All photos submitted become the property of SMEX, and may be used by SMEX or one of the sponsors. You can still use your photos for other purposes. Please notify if you need to use them elsewhere.
- Digital computer manipulation of photos limited to correction of colour, exposure or similar problem, and removal of "Red Eye" only. Extensive digital image modification or manipulation not permitted.
- Prize will be shipped direct from the sponsor, with shipping via a common carrier, to an Australian or NZ address. Any other or export arrangement is the responsibly of the winners. A substitute prize may be arranged if agreeable by both parties.

Only one vote per person.
The 5 photos in each category with the highest vote counts will be the finalists. The winners will be selected from the finalists by an expert panel of judges.
