Browser Compatibility

This web site has been tested on a number of different browsers. There are minor differences in the way that each browser presents the information on screen, but these are only normally evident if viewed side by side.

It has been tested using:-
Windows 98SE, 2000, XP operating systems, with

Internet Explorer IE4, IE5, IE6, IE7
Firefox V1, V2
Opera V8, V9

and:-
Mac OS X operating system, with

Safari V2
Firefox V2

In the interests of compatibility and interoperability, code on this site has been checked and verified to comply with W3C standards.

Known problems

There are a number of known browser compatibility issues or problems with different browsers. These appear to be problems with the browser being used, not with the web site. If you are experiencing problems, please report the problem, and switch to using a different browser.

When using Crazy Browser/AM Browser (a wrap around tabbed shell extension for Internet Explorer), V3 and earlier, some of the graphics or pages are rendered as blank.
Solution: Use a different browser.
When using Opera, some dates are written on the screen as "Unknown". Minor display-only issue.
When using Safari, some dates are written on the screen as "NaN Undefined". Minor display-only issue.
Some earlier browsers do not support RSS feeds, and display only coded text on screen. An annoyance, but only a display issue.
Solution: Update your browser to the latest version supporting RSS, or use a different browser.
When using Netscape V2 and earlier, blocks of text and/or graphics may be rendered on screen in random or incongruous positions.
Solution: Update your browser to the latest version, or use a different browser.
